Bridgewater State University is a community dedicated to the lifelong success of all students. The university encourages both the freedom of expression and the free exchange of ideas and encourages students to think beyond themselves and to be engaged in the advancement of the greater good. The community standards process is an educational process that fosters students' educational, personal, and social development and growth. The university encourages students to embrace its standards to be better prepared for their roles and responsibilities as citizens. The Student Code of Conduct defines the rights and responsibilities of students and provides a process for responding to allegations of student misconduct in a way that aligns with the university's values.
